Before she became well-known in the fashion industry, Helen had a successful career in academia. She earned her PhD and went on to become a Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Neuroscience at Lancaster University in the UK. There, she led the Neuroscience of Speech and Action (NoSA) Laboratory, where she researched how speech, action, and cognitive functions are represented in the brain.
