Iranian ophthalmologist who was sworn in as Minister of Health and Medical Education in 2013. He served as advisor to minister Mohammad Farhadi from 1997 to 2001.
Before Fame
He studied at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, receiving his medical doctorate in 1985 and his ophthalmologist degree in 1989. He completed his ant segment and cornea fellowship from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in 1991.
Trivia
He is an associate professor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and in 1993 founded the Noor Ophthalmology Complex.
Family Life
His wife is pediatrician Leyli Koochakzadeh.
