About
Conceptual artist who is known for his work in sculpting and focuses on themes relating to perspective, identity, and culture. His work is in the permanent collections of several major museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
Before Fame
He earned his BFS in 1998 from NYU. He then earned his MA in 2004 from the California College of the Arts where he also earned his MFA in Photography. He later received an honorary PhD from the Institute of Doctoral Studies in Visual Arts and from the Maryland Art Institute.
Trivia
In 2017, his work For Freedoms was awarded the ICP Infinity Award for New Media and Online Platform works.
