Gui Santos

About

Professional small forward that was initially signed by the Brazilian BCL Americas team Minas Tênis Clube in 2018. He was later drafted by the Golden State Warriors as a second-round pick in 2022. He has also played for the Brazilian men's national team during his professional career. 

Before Fame

As a teenager, he won a gold medal with Team Brazil during the 2019 FIBA South America Under-17 Championship. He scored 27 points in their team's championship match against Argentina. 

Trivia

Following his successful 2021-22 season, he was named Sixth Man of the Year in the Novo Basquete Brasil league. He finished the season averaging just over 10 points and 5 rebounds a game. His basketball fame has resulted in him gaining over 550,000 followers on Instagram. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Brasília, Brazil. Both of his parents were professional basketball players.
