Professional shortstop and middle infielder that was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays first round of the 2019 Major League Draft. He was later named one of the Rays' top 100 MLB prospects following the 2022 regular season. Prior to his professional career, he played college baseball at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
Before Fame
He was originally drafted by the Baltimore Orioles as a high school senior during the 2017 MLB Draft but he chose to attend college instead. As a sophomore at UNCW, he was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year.
Trivia
After being selected by the Tampa Bay Rays with the 22nd overall pick, he became the highest-drafted player in North Carolina-Wilmington's program history. He also became the first person in program history to steal four bases in a game three different times.
