Before Fame
He was born in Armenia. In 1992, he and his family had to flee the war-torn country and take shelter in Brussels, Belgium. As a teenager, he traveled around Europe and worked as a barber and go-go dancer. He eventually landed gigs as a backup dancer for various artists including The Pussycat Dolls, Beyoncé, Pink, and Kylie Minogue.

He has worked as a creative director for large brands such as Mary Kay and Coca-Cola. In November 2021, he was announced a judge for the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars. He and his husband have a reality show on Discovery Plus called "Brian and Arthur's Very Modern Family."
