He was a road and track cyclist from Switzerland. He became a member of Bahrain Victorious in the beginning of 2021. He tragically lost his life in an accident that occurred during the 2023 Tour de Suisse.

During the Vuelta a España 2021, he pledged to donate 10 euros for every rider he surpassed in the general classification.
