Reality star best recognized for appearing in the first-ever season of ABC's Golden Bachelor, a spin-off from the popular The Bachelor franchise. He married Theresa Nist at the end of their TV season. 

Before Fame

He grew up in Ottumwa, Iowa, the oldest of four. He played in school basketball games and then rushed to dances held at the YMCA, where he met his wife Toni.  

Trivia

He and his daughters had been separately watching The Bachelor on television when they saw advertisements for an open casting of a spin-off Bachelor show for older contestants. His daughters encouraged him to sign up for the project. He is a retired restaurateur.

Family Life

He married his high school sweetheart Toni back in 1974. His wife passed away in 2017. They had two daughters together named Angie and Jenny, as well as granddaughters named Charlee and Payton. In 2024, He married to Theresa Nist.
