Canadian keyboardist, saxophonist, and organist who was best know for being part of the music group The Band who also scored many esteemed films. He appears on a popular live version of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall (Part 1)."
Before Fame
He was classically trained in piano when he was younger and had his first musical gig playing with dance bands in the late 1940s.
Trivia
He received the Hamilton Music Award in the Best Instrumentalist category in November 2005. In 2008, he won a Lifetime of Achievement Award with The Band.
Family Life
His parents, Fred Hudson and Olive Pentland, were both musicians.
