He got his start by working at the United Film Ad Service in Missouri.

After his death, Warner Bros. dedicated the animated program, The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries, to him for his contributions to the studio.

He had two daughters with his wife Lily Freleng.

Associated With

While Tex Avery was credited with creating the character of Bugs Bunny, he was largely responsible for the character's redesign in the '40s.
