TikTok star also known as Max Van der Aarde or "Vandy," best known for his unique lingo, which quickly grew to become a nationwide generational phenomenon. His comedic videos featuring his humorous language and relatable characters have helped him gain over 700,000 followers on his TikTok account freezertarps. He began selling FreezerTarps merchandise in 2020 and co-founded the hair care product company Letty Dressing in 2021. 

Before Fame

He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing at The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business in 2022. While attending college, he was a Tampa nightlife promoter for Hoppin Entertainment. Before launching his official FreezerTarps brand, he held jobs as the social media manager and event coordinator for Grand Slam Sports & Recreation Center in Minneapolis, MN, and as a pro shop representative at Wentworth Golf Club in Jackson, New Hampshire. 

Trivia

The name FreezerTarps comes from the practice of placing one's shirt in the freezer in order to prevent or reverse sweat stains. "Letty" is his way of saying the word "lettuce," which is the word he uses for "hair," explaining the name of his hair product company Letty Dressing.

He uploaded pictures of himself alongside parents and family members to his vandyy222 Instagram account in March and November of 2022.
