Basketball coach who was voted as 2010's Big 12 Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year while at Kansas State University. In 2008 he led the team to its first NCAA Tournament birth since 1996.

He worked as a nightclub bouncer while a student at Florida International University.

Trivia

He was suspended for the last game of the 2014 season for a vicious diatribe he gave to his South Carolina team following a loss to Ole Miss.

Family Life

He is a first-generation American born to Cuban parents. He has three children with his wife Anya Forrest.

He coached future NBA point guard Steve Blake to three consecutive state titles as the basketball coach at Miami High School.
