Professional center-back that was signed by the Italian Serie A based soccer club S.S. Lazio in July 2018. Prior to Lazio, he played for the U.S. Sassuolo Calcio of the Serie A league as well. He was selected to play for the Italian national team the 2020 UEFA European Football Championships. In 2023, he was signed to Inter Milan.

He began his soccer career playing for A.C. Pavia 1911 S.S.D. youth squad. He later signed with Pavia's senior club in 2006.
