American photographer who was known for taking photos of herself and other female models in black and white. Many of the photos are of young nude women merging with their surroundings.
Before Fame
She went to the Rhode Island School of Design in 1975 and studied in Rome from 1977 until 1978.
Trivia
She took most of her photographs with medium format cameras and created over 10,000 negatives which her parents kept after her suicide in 1981.
Family Life
She was born to artists George Woodman and Betty Woodman and had an older brother, Charles.
