Irish swimmer who competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He and his team were the first-ever Irish group of four to compete in the freestyle relay at the Olympics. The Olympics were only his second senior competitive swimming event. He competed in the European Aquatics Championship in 2021. He broke his initial record in the freestyle final at the Irish National Team Trials in April 2021.
Before Fame
Growing up, he talks about jumping into the water from various piers with his brothers and friends. His father took him swimming most every evening at the Lakeside Leisure Center. He started swimming lessons at 6 and began training competitively at age 9.

His parents are Róisín and Charlie McGeever. His girlfriend, Ellen Lane, appears often on his Instagram. He has two brothers: Ruairí and Donnacha. He has said that his father bringing him to the community pool most evenings in his childhood was a foundation for his interest in swimming.
