Before Fame
He grew up in the Pico Aliso housing projects in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, where he was involved in drugs and gang activity. After a stint in rehab and struggling to make ends meet with a series of odd jobs, he began pursuing a career as a comedian.

He made several appearances on the television series Latino 101. He has a podcast called "What's Up Fool?" on the All Things Comedy network.
Family Life
He has three children. He is married and also has a step-son.
