Famous for anchoring CBS Morning News and NBC's Today Show, she is also notable for hosting the NBC talk show A Closer Look, as well as for contributing to Dateline NBC. 

Before Fame

After attending West Virginia's Bethany College, she worked for Illinois affiliates of the CBS and ABC News networks.

Trivia

In the 1990s, she appeared in an episode of the popular television series Murphy Brown and was also featured in a number of commercials for Pepcid AC.

Family Life

Born Faith Augustine, she spent her youth in Pittsburgh and Washington, Pennsylvania. With her husband, television producer Dean Daniels, she raised a daughter named Alyx Rae and a son named Andrew.

Associated With

On her A Closer Look talk show, she interviewed Stacey Koon, a Los Angeles police officer who was accused of participating in the beating of Rodney King.
