He began playing soccer professionally in 2012 as a member of the Fuminense FC. He played in his first game with Fluminense on May 20, 2012 as a substitute in a 1-0 win over the Corinthians Paulista Sports Club.

In 2015, he married his long-time girlfriend Rebeca Tavares.
