Barbadian politician who is known as the first prime minister of Barbados. He was succeeded by Lloyd Erskine Sandiford in 1987. He collapsed and passed away on June 1 of 1987.

He attended Wesley Hall Boys School before winning a scholarship to Combermere School, which he attended for one year before being admitted to Harrison College.

Family Life

He was the son of Rev. Reginald Grant Barrow and Ruth Albertha. He has four siblings. In November 1945, he married Carolyn Marie Plaskett and they had two children, Lesley and David. In the late 1950s, he had a son named Eric with Thelma Padmore.
