Enzo Fernández

Professional midfielder that was signed by Club Atlético River Plate in 2019. In 2023, he was signed by Chelsea FC. He played in 29 games during his career with River Plate. He was later acquired by the Club Social y Deportivo Defensa y Justicia Football Club via loan transfer in August 2020. He debuted with the Argentinian national team in 2022 and he helped the team win the 2022 World Cup. 

Before Fame

He began his soccer career playing for the  Club La Recova youth squad. He signed to play for the River Plate youth squad in 2006. 

Trivia

He made his professional club debut playing against the Liga Deportiva Universitaria sports club on March 4, 2020, as a member of River Plate's senior club. He scored five goals as a member of River Plate during the 2019-20 season.

Family Life

He is a native of San Martín, Argentina. His father is a former professional soccer player. His daughter was born in May 2020, he occasionally posts her photo on Instagram.
