Before Fame
She played hockey on the boys' Burford Coyotes team until the bantam level and was often the only girl on the team. She participated in multiple sports during her high school years at Paris District High School. She then attended Quinnipiac University, where she played hockey for all four years and served as team captain during her senior year. She played for a couple of international teams before she was recruited to join the Toronto Sceptres in 2023 after being part of the Toronto Six from 2020-2023.
Trivia
She received the Phyllis Gretzky Memorial Award for Female Youth Leadership from the Brantford Sports Council in 2011. She played varsity ice hockey, volleyball, junior basketball, soccer, tennis, track and field, badminton, and baseball when she was in high school. She earned the Paris District Senior Female Athlete of the Year award in 2013.

She was born in London, Ontario, Canada. She was raised in Burford, Ontario, Canada. She has an older sister named Rebecca, a twin brother named Calvin, and a younger brother named Hayden.
