Before Fame
She started her acting career by performing with the Maria Guerrero Theater. After several successful theater performances, she made her feature film debut in 1952 when she appeared in Los ojos dejan huellas.

Family Life
She is the daughter of Spanish politician Ramon Ruiz Alonso. She married film producer Emiliano Piedra and together they had three daughters: Emma, Lola, and Emiliana.
