Victim of a brutal murder case that was made public in 1996. The case made national headlines due to it being an especially heinous act of rape, murder, and necrophilia. It also made headlines because her parents attempted to sue the band Slayer for inspiring the murder.
Before Fame
She was abducted in the summer of 1995 by acquaintances Jacob Delashmutt, Joseph Fiorella, and Royce Casey. They lured her out of her home with the intention of killing her as a part of a satanic ritual and returned to her dead body to commit necrophilia in the subsequent months. Her body was found in March 1996 after Casey converted to Christianity and confessed to the whereabouts of the body.
Trivia
Her parents tried to sue the band Slayer twice for inspiring the murder. The first lawsuit stated that the songs "Postmortem" and "Dead Skin Mask" gave the murderers instructions on how to commit the murder and acts of necrophilia. The second lawsuit claimed the band knowingly distributed harmful material to minors. Both lawsuits were tossed out.
