Ellen Jayne Wheeler

American soap opera actress, director and producer. She won Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Young Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of twins on Another World. She was part of both the directing and acting team during her time on the show As the World Turns. 

Before Fame

Born in Glendale, California to parents with a background in theater and entertainment. She attended Brigham Young University and studied acting. 

Trivia

She was an executive producer for the show Guiding Light. Her character on All My Children was one of the first characters with AIDS on daytime television. Over the course of her career, she has appeared in over a dozen different titles as an actress. In a handful of shows, she has played reoccurring characters. 

Family Life

She married co-star Tom Eplin in 1985 and divorced in 1988. She married Shannon Lowell Comp in 1992 and together share two sons, Michael MacEllen Comp and   Remington Lowell Comp.
