Italian World Cup alpine skier and racer who specialized in downhill and super-G events. She was a World Cup and World championship multi-medalist. She retired from racing in April 2020. She won the silver medal at the World Championships in 2005 at age 20.
Trivia
She represented Italy in three Winter Olympics and six World Championships. In training for the 2018 World Cup, she fell and fractured her fibula and suffered a distortion-bruising trauma to the left knee as well as a fracture in her leg. These injuries forced her to miss the 2019 ski season.
Family Life
Her younger sisters Nadia and Sabrina also raced on the Italian World Cup ski team. She died in February 2023 from colon cancer at age 37.
