Before Fame
At 17, he enlisted as a combat medic who served in Iraq in a field hospital. A Southern Illinois native, he attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. He completed his dermatology residency at Indiana University. His uploaded his first TikTok, of the "perfect coffee routine," in May 2020.

He is married his his wife Christina in 2022. They have a son, Maxwell, born in 2024. In November 2024, he posted a picture on Instagram with his family, with himself dressed up in a turkey costume, with the caption "Maxwell's First Thanksgiving."
