Drake Maye

Quarterback and athlete who served as the starting quarterback for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels from the year 2022 to the year 2023. He had a dominant 2022 season, throwing for 38 touchdowns and 4,321 yards and earning the ACC Player of the Year award. 

Before Fame

He played both football and basketball at Myers Park High School. He originally committed to the University of Alabama before switching to UNC. 

Trivia

At the time his UNC football career ended, he ranked fourth all-time in passing touchdowns (63) in UNC history. His football fame has led him to accumulate more than 270,000 followers on Instagram. He stands six feet, four inches tall and weighs about 225 pounds.  He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.

Family Life

His father Mark also played quarterback at UNC and went on to play in the NFL as well. He has four older brothers.

He and fellow quarterback Caleb Williams both entered the NFL in the 2024 draft class.
