Before Fame
He started posting to YouTube in October 2017 with a TEDx Talk he gave about the multi-verse. He received his B.S. degree in Physics from the Case Western Reserve University in 1993, his M.S. degree in Physics from Brown University in the year 1995, and his PhD in 2000. He is a distinguished professor of physics at University of California, San Diego, since 2019. He is the author of two books, Losing The Nobel Prize and Into the Impossible.

His father is the mathematician, James Ax. He grew up in Dobbs Ferry, New York and has 3 brothers; Kevin, Nick and Shaya. He lives in San Diego with his children.
