He played three years of varsity football while at Hinsdale Central High School. As a senior, he was named the 2015 West Suburban Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year. After high school, he committed to Illinois on January 15, 2016 over offers from Ball State and Florida Atlantic.
Trivia
