Before Fame

He was born Miguel Ángel Valerio Lebron in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Before pursuing a music career, he worked as a disc jockey, carpenter, and tailor.

His debut album, Contra El Tiempo, made him famous in his native Dominican Republic.

Family Life

He was imprisoned in 2012 on charges of domestic violence. After his release, his wife, dancer Paola Cristal Terrero Arias, filed a restraining order against him.
