Before Fame

He met Matt Bellamy at school, where they both were fans of jazz music. His first band was called Carnage Mayhem.

He received an honorary doctorate from the University of Plymouth.

Family Life

He resides in Los Angeles and London. His father was William Howard, who died from a heart attack after watching Muse's performance at Glastonbury Festival in 2004.
