Dez Skinn

About

Best known as the founder of an English comics magazine called Warrior, this prominent comic book writer and editor also worked for Marvel and helped establish the Doctor Who Magazine. His Warrior comics received more than fifteen Eagle Awards.

Before Fame

He began his career with IPC Media, editing such popular comics as Buster, Cor!!, and Whizzer and Chips.

Trivia

After ending his association with Marvel Comics, he founded a publishing company called Quality Communications and founded the Warrior anthology.

Family Life

Born Derek Skinn, he grew up in England.

Associated With

Stan Lee headed Marvel Comics in the United States, while Skinn presided over the company's English branch.
