David Susskind

About

Moderator of the late-night New York talk show Open End, which was later re-named The David Susskind Show. Also a television producer, he worked on such series and TV movies as Mr. Broadway, Way Out, and Eleanor and Franklin.

Before Fame

He served in the United States military during World War II.

Trivia

Having graduated from Harvard and the University of Wisconsin, he easily secured a position with Warner Brothers.

Family Life

He married Phyllis Briskin in August, 1939. After their divorce in April, 1966, he remarried Joyce Davidson.

He interviewed former President Harry S. Truman on multiple occasions.
