Emmy award-winning sports broadcaster known for his 15-year tenure as the host of WGN's Sports Central, 10 of which were spent co-hosting with Tom Waddle. He went on to host Kap and Co. on ESPN 1000 in Chicago.

Before Fame

He attended Hamline University, where he graduated with a degree in English. He went on to serve as an assistant coach for Northern Illinois University's basketball team for three seasons and spent time as an NBA scout.

Trivia

Along with hosting shows, he's worked as a play-by-play announcer for college football and basketball as well as professional lacrosse. He once appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Family Life

He has a son with his wife Mindy and also has three stepchildren.

He's hosted Chicago Cubs pre and postgame shows with former Cub Todd Hollandsworth.
