Before Fame

He grew up playing music and singing. He performed with his brothers in the band The Moffats but eventually broke away to pursue his own kind of music. His first public YouTube video is "Always Be My Baby - Dave Moffatt (Mariah Carey Cover)", which was published on the date of May 13th, 2021.

He was a contestant featured in several episodes of Canadian Idol in 2005. He appeared on an episode of the TV show So Weird in the year 2000. His original single amassed over 29 million views and resulted in his channel having over 250,000 subscribers.
