About

Actor and musician who has made a name for himself as one of the stars of the 2022 film They/Them; the first film to debut on the Peacock streaming platform. He moved to New York and within 5 short years, he'd learned English and managed to build an impressive Broadway resumé. It was there he met lauded director and producer John Logan.

Before Fame

He started acting and singing at a very young age in his home country of Brazil. He was in the original Brazilian casts for the traveling productions of Shrek The MusicalFiddler on the Roof, and The Wizard of Oz. Since moving to New York he's had starring roles in A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Feather Doesn't Fall Far From the Wing. He had the gumption to call John Logan out of the blue to pitch a workshop on a play that he wrote as a teenager. Logan agreed to produce the play but the pandemic got in the way, and that is when he wrote the part specifically for Darwin in They/Them.

Trivia

He's also an accomplished and melodious talent behind the microphone. He has released 3 studio albums, including the 2022 Revisiting Jobim which was an homage to standards based on the sounds of Bossa Nova icons Tom Jobim and Frank Sinatra.
