Author who gained acclaim for her debut memoir Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System, published in October 2019. She is an advocate against sex trafficking, and the subject of the 2020 Netflix documentary Murder to Mercy: The Cyntoia Brown Story . She has gained a large following on her cyntoiabrownofficial Instagram account for lifestyle and family content. 

Before Fame

She was put up for adoption as an infant. As a teenager she was trafficked as an involuntary prostitute.

Trivia

After she was sentenced to serve prison time for killing a man while working as a prostitute, her trial went viral and was highlighted by various celebrities, including Snoop Dogg. She co-founded the non-profit organization Foundation for Justice, Freedom, and Mercy after leaving prison.

Family Life

Since her release from prison she has found steadfast support from her husband.
