Before Fame

His father, Matthew Johns, played rugby for the Newcastle Knights, and his uncle played the sport as well. This led to his participation in the sport, and he played rugby with numerous teams in Australia including the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Queensland Cup. 

Trivia

He announced is retirement as a rugby player on the Kyle & Jackie O. Show in 2024. He decided he didn't want to play for the NRL anymore and instead wanted to work for Kyle Sandilands' breakfast show. This retirement came as a major shock to many, especially his family, and their disappointment in him led him to tell them to "f themselves."
