Before she married Mozart, he was actually in love with her sister Aloysia.

After Mozart died in 1791, she obtained a pension from the emperor, organized profitable memorial concerts, and embarked on a campaign to publish the works of her late husband.
Family Life
Her mother was Cäcilia Weber and her father was Fridolin Weber. She and her sisters, Josepha, Aloysia, and Sophie were all trained as singers. She and Mozart had six children: Karl Thomas Mozart, Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart, and four others who died in infancy. In 1809, she married Georg Nikolaus von Nissen.

Her father's half-brother was the father of composer Carl Maria von Weber.
