Brazilian professional surfer known for her sponsorships through Surf Trip and Red Bull. She is also a journalist and is known for being one of the founders of Ehlas, an online magazine dedicated to women's surfing. She appeared on several surfing related television programs including Woohoo and Off. 

Before Fame

She first began surfing at the age of four. After making it to the finals in her first competition, she was offered sponsorship from Surf Trip. At 19 she began taking several English courses and earned her degree in journalism from the Universidade de Ribeirao Preto. 

Trivia

She is the star and host of the television program Sol & Sal which focuses on women surfers traveling to different areas in search of the best waves. She has also worked as a model for several brands including Oakley and Gilette. 

Family Life

She was born and raised in Praia do Frances, Brazil.

Maya Gabeira is a fellow professional female surfer who has also earned sponsorship from Red Bull.
