Science fiction and fantasy novelist known for the Miriam Black and Atlanta Burns series. He was selected to write canonical Star Wars novels set after the end of Episode VI, the first of which was released in September of 2015.

Before Fame

He published his first novel in 2001. He was part of the Sundance Film Festival Screenwriter's Lab in 2010.

Trivia

He responded to criticism for including a gay character in Star Wars: Aftermath by comparing his critics to the Empire.

Family Life

He and his wife have a child and live in rural Pennsylvania.
