Chris Rigg

Professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the English Football League's Sunderland Association Football Club. He has also represented England on an international level during his youth career. At U-16 level, he captained the entire squad before being promoted to U-17 despite being only 15 years old at the time.

Before Fame

After having caught the attention of manager Tony Mowbray, he commenced his senior career on the bench for the EFL Championship match against Blackpool at the start of 2023. Just one week later, he was named on the bench once again for a third round FA Cup game against Shrewsbury Town, during which he made his professional debut as a substitute for Edouard Michut.

Trivia

After scoring his first competitive goal for Sunderland during an EFL Cup match against Crewe Alexandra, he became the youngest ever goal scorer for his club. He also became the youngest goal scorer in competition history.
