Before Fame
He began as an alpine downhill racer at the Holderness School in New Hampshire. He later attending the University of Colorado where he became involved in big-mountain competitions. He competed in his debut big-mountain event in 1996 at the World Extreme Skiing Championship.
Trivia
He is known for being the first person to ski down all 54 of Colorado's peaks over 14,000 feet in elevation in one year. He is also known for being a TV Reporter and color commentator for ESPN, ABC Sports, and RSN TV.
Family Life
He was born and raised in New Hampshire but later moved to Colorado to attend school. He opted to stay and live in Aspen, Colorado after schooling.
