She was born in Phoenix, Arizona and won back-to-back Arizona 5A State Championships as a member of the Xavier College Preparatory golf team in 2006 and 2007. She later graduated from Wake Forest University.

Her parents are Susan Woods and Earl Dennison Woods Jr. She announced her engagement to New York Yankees center fielder Aaron Hicks on October 21st, 2021. On February 6th, 2022 the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. They welcomed a baby boy in April 2022. In February 2022, they tied the knot.
