Her musical journey began after she joined a choir. She subsequently took vocal and piano lessons as a child. Her career began in the year 2011 at the age of 17. She was later discovered by Audius Mtawarira.

Family Life
Her birth name is Charmaine Shamiso Mapimbiro. Her parents separated immediately after she was born, and she grew up being taken care of by her grandmother. She later moved in with her aunts.
