Popular British romance novelist who wrote under many pseudonyms, including Charlotte Lamb, Victoria Wolf, Sheila Lancaster, and Laura Hardy. She is known for her Sins series and her Barbary Wharf books.
Before Fame
She was born Sheila Ann Mary Coates in Essex, England. She published her debut novel, Prisoner of the Heart, in 1972.
Trivia
Her final novel, The Angel of Death, was published posthumously.
Family Life
With her husband, writer and editor Richard Holland, she had five children. Two of her daughters, Sarah and Jane Holland, also became writers.
