About

Serial killer who murdered at least twelve tourists during the 1970s in Southeast Asia. He was considered incredibly deceptive and elusive, and was nicknamed the Bikini Killer and The Serpent.

Before Fame

In 1963, he was sentenced for prison for the first time.

Trivia

He lured tourists by pretending to be a gem dealer or creating problems which he then helped them out of, thus gaining their trust.

Family Life

He had a daughter with ex-wife Chantal Compagnon. In 2008, he was reported to be engaed to Nihita Biswas.

Associated With

After being arrested in Nepal, he asked Nicolas Sarkozy to intervene.
