British author and investigative journalist who is known for her work with The Observer as well as The Daily Telegraph. She is best recognized for her 2018 investigative piece which exposed the Facebook - Cambridge Analytica data scandal.
Before Fame
She studied journalism at Hertford College in Oxford. She published her first novel The Family Tree in 2006 and was shortlisted for the 2006 Commonwealth Writer's Prize. She then ventured into journalism where she published pieces on issues of technology for The Observer.
Trivia
She was nominated for the 2019 Pulitzer for her coverage of the Cambridge Analytica scandal. She is also known for having won the British Journalism Awards Technology Journalism Award in December of 2017 and The Orwell Prize for political journalism in 2018.
