Before Fame
He started getting into music when he was in high school, and by age 16, was submerged in hip hop and Soanish music while carrying crates for Cuban artist DJ Nasty. In 2005, Spiff put together his first film, "Reggaeton Invasion," a raw documentary covering the lifestyles and performances of the hottest reggaeton artists at the time. Soon after, DJ Nasty introduced him to DJ Khaled and with the right connections he became a "one-stop-shop" for major hip hop artists like Rick Ross, Diddy and French Montana. Rick Ross named him the Head of A&R for his record label, Maybach Music. Later in a joint venture, they started Maybach Productions.
Trivia
In May 2024, it was announced that he would make his feature directorial debut on the indie horror/thriller film, You Lose You Die. He also most recently produced The Tax Collector, a gritty urban crime drama directed by David Ayer. He contributed to the soundtrack production for Marvel's acclaimed 2018 animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse-written.
