Cameron Waters

About

Australian professional race car driver best known for competing in the Repco Supercars Championship with the #6 Ford Mustang GT for Tickford Racing. At the age of 17, he earned a record for becoming the youngest driver to have ever competed in the Bathurst 1000. He was also declared the winner of the reality television competition show Shannons Supercar Showdown in 2011.

Before Fame

He first got introduced to racing go-karts in 2001, when he was a child. He went on to compete on a national level and earn several state-level championships in addition to the J.C. Maddox Trophy on two separate occasions. He officially entered the Australian Formula Ford Championship in 2010.

Trivia

As a speedway racer, he won 1st place at the 2015 South Australian Late Model Championship and the 2018 Modified Production Australian Speedway Title. He also earned 1st place titles as a circuit racer, including in the 2010 Victorian Formula Ford Series and in the 2011 Australian Formula Ford Championship.

Family Life

His cousin is Australian Superbike champion Josh Waters.

In 2015, he beat Paul Dumbrell to become the winner of the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series at Sydney Olympic Park.
